Well, hello there darling! Yeah that's right, I'm talking to you (two of you, to be exact). We are looking for two new members of the The Sinister Scoop book review team and we know you would be an amazing fit for one of these spots! You consume indie horror like oxygen, love the community, have a twisted sense of humor, and could use a new platform for sharing the good word about the books that work their way under your skin.
We have great relationships with a number of indie presses, and have so many great authors who reach out to us themselves! It's a lot to keep up with, and two more sets of eyes would do wonders with helping us get reviews out in a more timely fashion. You'll have access to the Google doc where we keep track of what we've got waiting in the wings, and the freedom to review anything you get on your own as well. There's a discord server we're getting better at using for all sorts of things, and so many exciting plans coming up that we would love for you to be a part of!💕
The commitment we ask for, is a minimum of two reviews a month of books from our review list. If you want to review more than two, have at it! Are there books not on that list that you think should be highlighted? We welcome all the things. There's no max on what you can submit, and no specific order we need things reviewed in!
While it's less of an issue with reviews than other content, we want to make it clear that there will be no AI content accepted! Naturally, no homophobic, racist, sexist, or other discriminatory behavior of any kind will be tolerated. We're all a bunch of weirdos here, and we embrace the shit out of it, because our differences are what make this community such an awesome place.
