WHAT THEY'RE SEEKING:
Take the theme (INTO THE FOREST) as a launch pad for your imagination and don't worry about tailoring your writing to it. We love seeing how different interpretations of the same prompt fit together to make a bigger story.
We are particularly looking for prose submissions since we have received a considerable amount of poems already. But we are still accepting poetry submissions.
We welcome submissions from a variety of genres. Whatever the theme inspires YOU to write – be it traditional science fiction, memoirs, poetry, (mild) otherworldly horror, fairy tales, or something else entirely – we want to read it.
We accept submissions in any of the following form:
Poetry (up to 40 lines)
Flash Fiction (up to 1,000 words)
Short Stories (between 1,000 and 3,000 words)
Creative Non-fiction (up to 3,000 words)
PLEASE DON'T SEND:
We don’t publish erotica or hardcore horror. This is down to the reading preferences of our editors. You can get a feel for the sort of writing we do enjoy by checking out our previous anthologies (Uncharted Constellations and/or Severed Souls).
We do NOT accept any material containing prejudice against any person or group based on their race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, gender identity or disability.
