Teaser Trailer: Hellsgate

These seemingly innocuous words serve as the introduction to the world of Hellsgate, an

upcoming independent horror film from Aaron Hawkins & Lydia Manson. The lines are delivered in the duo’s teaser by an older man who looks harmless, even caring. As the teaser goes on,

brief glimpses into the man’s true nature warn us about the violence simmering under his calm

surface.

While giving very little away, the teaser promises two things: a modern take on the classic cult

genre horror fans know and love, and a healthy helping of blood and gore.

BTS of the proof-of-concept teaser for Hellsgate

Hellsgate revolves around a violent and manipulative cult led by Keith Appleson (Otis B. Dreds),

who decided to carry on [Charles] Manson’s mission. The story follows Samantha Tate (Sushii

Xhyvette Holder), an undercover FBI agent, as she infiltrates the cult to gather intelligence and

ultimately bring it down. Throughout the narrative, Samantha navigates the dangerous dynamics

within the cult, dealing with Keith’s erratic and violent behavior, and the various cult members

who are sent on missions to commit murders.

Currently, Hellsgate is in pre-production and is still accepting financial support on Indiegogo,
